Welcome to the digital home of Messy Weekend Records, a Stockholm-based label founded in 2017. I launched this Substack in 2022 to replace our old WordPress site. Then life happened, as it does, and the project slipped into a long pause. Today, it returns with new energy and a clearer sense of purpose.

So this is the second attempt at creating a home for record releases, artist spotlights, and everything else that happens at a small label. I’m hoping it will also become a meeting place where thoughts on music, culture, and artistic quality can take off.
