Belle Jar is a singer-songwriter and artist from Stockholm. For two years she lived in London, attending BIMM Institute, where she made an album of bedroom folk, Last Word of Love (released in 2018). The foundational elements of her songwriting remain the acoustic guitar and lyrics. Still, her second album features a greatly expanded sound, full of zany synths and samples, pitch-shifting, and vocoder.
